Steering angle resets, speedometer recalibration and module programming — mobile.
A lifted truck with the traction light on and a speedometer reading twelve percent slow is not a mechanical fault — it is a vehicle telling you its computers have not been told what changed. Most shops around here will fit the lift and hand that problem back to you. We finish it.
The scan-tool work a lift kit or a gear change leaves behind, done where the truck is.
After a lift kit: the steering angle sensor
Lift a truck and the steering angle sensor is now reporting an angle the stability control was not calibrated for. The symptom is a traction or stability light that will not clear, and on some vehicles a system that intervenes when it should not — which is worse than a light, because it happens in a corner. The reset teaches the sensor its new centre. It is a ten minute job with the right tool and a dealer visit without one.
After bigger tires or a gear change: the speedometer
A 33-inch tire on a truck that left the factory on 29s reads roughly twelve percent slow. Every mile the odometer records is short, which affects the service interval, the warranty record and the resale mileage — and on a work truck it affects what a customer is billed per mile. Re-gearing the axle moves it the other way. Recalibrating the vehicle to its actual tire size and final drive puts the speedometer, the odometer and the shift points back onto real numbers.
Ford module programming
Module programming on Ford is confirmed work here — a module that has been replaced, or one that needs its configuration rewritten for a change to the vehicle. Ford module programming is confirmed. Which OTHER makes can be programmed rather than only read? Everything not listed should not be implied.
Oil life resets and service intervals
A monitor that still thinks the oil has 4,000 miles on it is a monitor nobody will trust six months from now, and on a fleet vehicle it is the difference between a maintenance schedule and a guess. Reset at the service, in the yard, across as many vehicles as are sitting there.
Feature unlocks
Some vehicles ship with capability the factory switched off, and some of it can be enabled with the right software. Which feature unlocks are actually offered, by make. "Feature unlocks" without a list is a claim nobody can price and some of them are legally fraught.
Why this is on a tire company’s website
Because it is the same customer, twenty minutes later. The truck that just had 37s fitted is the truck whose speedometer is now wrong and whose stability light is on, and sending it to a dealer for two weeks to finish a job we started is not service. The lift-kit and big-tire work this shop already does is what put this on the truck.
Where it can be done
Are module programming jobs done at the roadside, or do they need shop power and a stable connection? Say which, because a customer stranded at a plant gate needs to know before calling. Which scan tool and OEM software the diagnostics work runs on — this decides which makes and which module jobs can actually be done, and fleet buyers ask by name

Diagnostics & programming — questions
My truck has a lift kit and the traction light will not go off. Is that this?
Almost certainly. Lifting a truck moves the steering angle sensor away from the centre the stability system learned at the factory, and the light is the system saying so. The reset teaches it the new centre.
I fitted bigger tires and my speedometer is wrong. Can you fix it without a dealer?
Yes — that is a recalibration to the tire size and final drive the vehicle is actually running. It also corrects the odometer, which matters more than the speedometer on anything billed by the mile or sold on its mileage.
Does re-gearing need the same thing?
Yes, and in the opposite direction. Changing the axle ratio changes how many driveshaft turns make a mile, so the vehicle has to be told the new ratio or every reading downstream of it is wrong.
Which makes can you program?
Ford module programming is confirmed. Ford module programming is confirmed. Which OTHER makes can be programmed rather than only read? Everything not listed should not be implied.
Can you do this at the roadside or does it need a shop?
